Speaking of which, I just watched the first episode of Natsuyuki Rendezvous. Just like all the noitaminA shows I've seen before it (except for maybe Guilty Crown), it was very good. It had this very nice, very calming atmosphere; I think it was the same kind Usagi Drop had.
While there were a lot of great things about Natsuyuki, the best was Hazuki. If anyone's looking for an alpha MC, look no further than the guy in the left of the picture. I naturally like the MCs of all the anime I see, from the Gariest of Gary Stus to Shu Ouma. But Hazuki is just that perfect alpha. He's definitely not a beta, but he's not too alpha to be mistaken for a Gary Sue like the MC of that new anime from ARMS. You know, the MC who beat up the entire cast of Queen's Blade: Rebellion?
Hazuki doesn't need to punch nuns in the crotch like that guy to show he's not beta. All he needs to do to show it is to tell the girl he loves that he does love her after she brings up the question (without hesitation), and tells her ghost of a husband, whose actions contradict his dying pleas, that he's gonna win her heart and there's nothing he can do to stop him.
Like the invisible filenames say: Dogakobo are gods.
